Your computer likely has sensitive information on that you probably don’t want getting into anyone else’s hands, and so when we collect it, you can rest assured that we provide a full data destruction service when recycling your computers, from drives to tapes, CDs and DVDs.
Not everyone who owns a computer understands fully how to remove all their data from it. That’s where we come in. You don’t want to end up with an attic or garage full of old bits of computer pieces just because you’re unsure how to completely wipe all your information from them. Call us to collect your personal computer or laptop and we make sure that it’s completely wiped clean of all data so you don’t have to be concerned with your private information getting into the wrong person’s hands.
Computer recycling and refurbishing is an important part of an organisation’s sustainable waste strategy. IT disposal can be a hassle for organisations with large numbers of computers, and our aim is to make it as simple and pain-free as possible for all of our customers. We give you complete peace of mind in the knowledge that we are disposing of your IT equipment in a safe, secure and environmentally responsible way.
We try to recycle as much as possible and therefore all computers and parts are checked to see if they are fit for purpose and are tested to electrical safety standards before being resold. If they are not suitable for reuse they will be taken apart so that the individual parts can be repurposed or used for refurbishments. CRT-based monitors contain hazardous chemicals as well as copper and rare metals, and so we ensure that we recycle as much of whatever we can’t reuse as we can at licenced recycling facilities. We aim to recycle or reuse 85% of the waste we collect, regardless of the kind of waste.
Please ensure whoever you decide to use to undertake your job is fully accredited, because if not, you could be liable for a £5,000.00 fine. Our Organisation has an upper tier Waste Carriers Licence from the governmental Environment Agency, which means that you can rest assured that your waste products won’t be illegally disposed of.
